Barry Rogers - CPA and Managing Partner

O. Barry Rogers established BWK Rogers PC (formerly Rogers and Company) in 1981, a professional CPA firm dedicated to excellence in serving the nonprofit industry.

As managing partner, Barry directs the firm's work, which consists primarily of audits for organizations in Minnesota. He also partners with national CPA firms on governmental and nonprofit engagements.

Prior to founding BWK Rogers PC, Barry spent five years on the audit staff of Ernst and Young (formerly Arthur Young and Company) in its Detroit, Michigan office. He worked extensively with colleges, universities, and hospitals, applying many of the concepts that govern the accounting standards being used by nonprofit organizations today. 

Over the years, Barry has contributed to enhancing the accounting profession in the nonprofit world with his close ties to academia. He has spent almost 20 years teaching nonprofit accounting and auditing at Metropolitan University, St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a co-author of the national certification program for nonprofit accounting professionals (CNAP) sponsored by NonprofitCPAs.

As the exclusive host, Barry brings to Minnesota this national certification program.  He is the instructor for the three-day CNAP program in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Barry is also a regular participant at seminars sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of CPAs.

Throughout his career, Barry has been dedicated to helping young people in the field by offering internships and training to numerous accounting students for careers in the nonprofit industry and public accounting.

Barry will be the lead service partner and will have overall responsibility for many of the services provided to you. He has had substantial experience in auditing nonprofit organizations.

Since 2011, Barry has been a regular participant in the annual 100-mile bicycle ride benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
